Wedding Cake Trends 2025:
What’s Hot This Season?

Planning your 2025 wedding?

Then let’s talk cake — because your centrepiece deserves to be as unforgettable as the dress, the vows and the first dance. Here are this year’s most stylish (and delicious) wedding cake trends I’m seeing from my bakery bench.

1. Flavours that tell a story

Gone are the days of plain vanilla. Couples in 2025 are choosing flavour combinations that reflect them — think Pistachio & Raspberry, Mango-Passionfruit, or even rich Baileys Chocolate with a touch of orange. One tier bold, one tier classic? Absolutely. Your cake can (and should) be personal.

2. Lambeth piping — but make it modern

Yes, the vintage look is still trending, but we’re seeing softer colour palettes, minimal swirls and elegant detailing over loud drama. Think cream cheese textures, delicate borders and subtle shimmer. Timeless, but with a 2025 twist.

3. Fresh florals are going big

Organic arrangements using seasonal, locally-sourced edible flowers (or fresh blooms) are in high demand. They're not only breathtaking — they tie in beautifully with your bouquet and venue styling.

4. Structured silhouettes

Not all cakes must be round! 2025 couples are loving square tiers, hexagon bases and even bold single-tier statement cakes. Architecture meets sweetness — and it’s stunning.

5. Neutral tones & texture play

Think ivory-on-ivory, soft latte colours, or even cake textures that resemble concrete, linen, or velvet. Combined with gold accents or delicate edible pearls — pure sophistication.

My advice?

Don’t chase every trend. Choose what resonates. A well-designed wedding cake is more than dessert — it’s a memory, a photo moment, and a sweet reflection of your story.
